Synthesis Paper #1

In 2025, content knowledge will have a broader and an in-depth role for students.  Content knowledge will be used as a primary source for decision making for core issues of society.  It will no longer be just something from the past or something that "will never be used" in society but rather vital information that can build upon what they already have and know.  Content knowledge will become more important as identities of self and entities and foundation for all information will need to be stronger.  Students will not stop in just knowing the content but understand the main points and reasons for what makes this day a day in digital age in a global world.

Students will have to master our current core skills in addition to all the new skills that will be required of them in 2025.  They will have to exhibit mastery in the common skills such as typing, researching, and web browsing, amongst others as well as any new core skills that will become common.  Students will be faced with the need to be able to discern correct information in a digital/information age.  As more information can be found online and online learning become more common, students in 2025 will also have to learn social, communication, and teamwork skills as it may become a less natural way of interaction with others.
